Dear Folks,

Today is payday again. Seems like I just got paid yesterday. We're supposed to get a raise effective 15 Nov 71. I'm not sure whether it will show in today's pay or not.

Time is getting short. I'll have to start thinking about what I'm sending home. Most of the stuff I can send whole baggage. You just take it to Long Binh and they pack it in a big wooden crate and ship it for you. An E-4 is authorized about 200 pounds. All I've really got to send is my tape recorder and tapes and my radio.

I've got some souvenirs and things but I'll probably try to  mail them. And of course, some of my hats. I've also got camouflage fatigue shirt I'd like to send but I don't know if it would get through.

I've collected a whole library of books but I'll probably leave most of them here. It's not worth it to send them.

I don't think I mentioned it but I finally sent that yearbook on Saturday. Hold on to the rest of the stuff I sent with it.

I'm going to try to send everything I can either whole baggage or mail. I don't want to have to carry anything with me on the plane.

That's it for now. 24 days and  a bag drag.

Rick
