Dear Folks,

Arrived here about 2 pm on 038. 027 and 061 are up here also. Me and Beckman on 038, Ted Eyre and Kadramas on 027, and Sgt Davis and Cheney on 061. I understand 061 is going back tomorrow so we'll be rid of Davis.

We're up here now to support the ARVN  Black Panthers and 101st Airborne in Operation Lam Son 810 or something like that. I'm not sure of the number. We're on standby tonight. I think they're having trouble getting the operation started. Heard they had a few helicopters shot down trying to insert troops. I think we'll be moving our airplanes to Marble Mountain. I heard we'll be flying out of Quang Tri during the day and coming back and flying here at night. More about that tomorrow. This was only supposed to be a 12 hour mission but seems to me it looks like it will last a while longer than that.

We're sleeping behind personnel again. Managed to swipe a few light bulbs and extension cords so we got lights and fans. That's comfort.

Got 4 letters.

Rick
