Dear Folks,

Borrowed Murphy's tape player to listen to the tape I got yesterday. Hard to believe you could actually talk for a whole hour.

Besides going to the main Air Force compound and seeing the movie "Fools", that was about all I've done today. I slept in this morning till about 11 am.

I think one more ship is going south tomorrow. That would leave only one crew up here. I'll probably stay. Sylvester wants to go back. If they take us off of this 1/2 hour standby and put us on 4 hour standby then both ships would probably go south and we would be on standby at Long Thanh. It doesn't really matter to me.

I have to go pick up tomorrows key list now. That's actually Sylvester's job. He's supposed to be in charge up here, but he hasn't been sober since we went on standby, so I've been doing it.

Saw my old hooch maid, Smiley today. Still as ugly as ever.

Rick
