Hello, Hello,

It has been a sleepy day. Had guard duty last night so don't be looking for a letter from the 10th because there wasn't one. Well, Saturday I got stuck on burm detail again. I asked Davis today if I could just get that detail permanently. He wouldn't say yes or no. I guess I'll find out at formation tomorrow morning. It might seem crazy to you but I'd much rather be out there sloshing in the mud. It's more fun, get lots of sun, and nobody out there to bother us. And I can wear my boony hat, 'cause none of our lovable lifers would even think of sloshing through the mud and grass to tell me to take it off!

I finished a roll of slide film on Saturday. I'll try to remember to take it to Nick's and get it developed. I mailed a tape Saturday morning. You should have it by the time you get this letter.

I got a package of magazines and a Power Squadron paper in the mail today.

Only one bad thing about this burm detail -- I have to listen to mamma-san scream every time she sees my muddy boots.

Rick
