Trip to Maine in 1980 #17

triptomainein198017.jpg

After we had reached a dead end on an old trading route we put the whole crew and 3 canoes in/on a suburban travelall and made our way to the next stream. . Three days later, after fighting more log jambs and pulling through alder swamps , we were able to run down the Penobscot for 50 miles on our next to last day. The sunset picture is from a small rocky campsite in the middlwe of Grand Lake Matagamon.

I didn't realize I had it , and didn't see it till I started scanning all these, but the picture of Pat and Gary on that blind left hand 2-3 drop is probably one of my favorites of many trips.
