Dear Folks,

Well got woke up this morning about 10:30 am to go de-rig 038. Seems like they always wait till Sunday morning for that kind of stuff. I thought I would have that practice this morning but I guess I was wrong. I don't know when it will be.

Had lunch at the mess hall. Tuna and noodles. Not exactly a big thrill. Had steak and French fries at the mess hall for supper.

Succeeded in sleeping most of the day away. Went to the club a couple times and had some cokes. Managed to squeeze in a little reading on the oceanography course whenever I opened my eyes.

I didn't mention that Handy may be leaving with Duff too. Which will be a blessing. Although I was beginning to soften him up a little I'll still be glad to get rid of him. They're still not sure of the full story of what's happening. So we may not lose either one of them.

We have a new guy in our section, Claybough. He's an avionics MOS so that's less work we may have to do.

Hope to get that commanders certificate tomorrow so I can send that money home and order that stuff.

Got two letters from you today. Time is movin' on. I've got to get up for formation in the morning.

Rick
