Dear Folks,

I'm awful tired now so I'm going to cut this short. I finished a tape this morning and mailed it off. I was interrupted last night by a mission and we had to get the planes ready to fly. We're still on standby now. We haven't done any flying yet. This mission is in the vicinity of Nui Ba Den, near Tay Ninh about 45 minutes from here. Finished up hooking the radios in 000 about 3 this afternoon. We had quite a bit of trouble finding a good set of radios. We didn't have a center radio bank that worked right. I'm pretty proud of myself on one count today. I checked the wiring diagram of the radio banks and figured we could hook up a front bank and use it as a center bank and still keep the regular third bank in place. I was 99.5 percent sure it could be done. The only reason I wasn't 100 percent sure was the Sgt. Davis insisted that it absolutely couldn't be done that way. I tried it anyway and it worked perfectly so chalk up one point for me. Got to take a shower and get some sleep now. Got 3 letters and a tape from you today.

Rick
