Dear Folks,

The mail plane that was supposed to get here at 10 last night finally got here at 3 am this morning. Got three letters and the pictures back from Wards. I mailed those pictures to you this afternoon.

The mission that was supposed to start today was put off last night to tomorrow morning. And it was put off further this afternoon to the day after tomorrow.

We had another rocket attack last night. I heard the siren go off but I didn't hear any rockets. The news said there were 10 rockets. They must have been awful far away because we didn't hear any of them here.

930 pm

Took a break for a pizza and 7-UP. Their still out of Coke at the RPI. Coke cost 15 cents a can. You can get a case for 2.40 which is 10 cents a can, but if I bought it by the case I would drink it by the case. There are just too many hands in the ice box.

Haven't done anything today but eat and read. They had corned beef at our mess hall tonight. It looked so unappetizing I didn't even attempt to eat it. The army has a way of ruining food.

I think I remember reading that the USAFI course I enrolled in was worth 3 credit hours. I'll have to look into it if there isn't any information on it in the course material. I imagine it would depend on the college whether they accept it or not.

The recreation center is just a hut with a pool table, ping-pong table, piano and some books. It's just financed by battalion funds. Nick doesn't have anything to do with it.

I don't remember any place called Chambers Lake. Where is it located?

You'll have to say Happy Birthday to Mike for me. I couldn't find a birthday card. Besides I forgot how old he is.

Rick
